Mayor

Teddy Stronks

Mayor Teddy Stronks was born in Ashton in 1954 and has lived here his entire life. He graduated from North Fremont High School in 1972 and went on an LDS mission to British Columbia, Canada. Upon his return he attended Ricks College and met his wife Delena Armstrong from Robin, Idaho. He is the owner of Stronks and Sons Lumber and Hardware Store.

Teddy has served on the city council since 1988. He and Delena have 5 kids of which include 4 boys and one girl. He loves the scouting program in which he has earned his Eagle and Silver Beaver awards. He is also an active Rotarian. His knowledge comes through the college of hard knocks, which has made him the man he is today. He enjoys spending his free moments, if any, boating and golfing.

City Council

Linda Janssen

Linda was elected in 2003 to a four year term to the city council; she also served two years by appointment (2001-2002). Currently Linda is Council President and has been appointed to serve on the Finance and Personnel Committees. She served two terms as Chairman of the P&Z Commission, helping to develop Ashton’s Comprehensive Plan and Development Code in the 1990’s.

Linda is active in the community through church, 4-H Leadership, and as a business owner in the City. She is currently Chairman of the Mesa Falls Scenic Byway Advisory Committee.

Linda is a native of the area, graduated from North Fremont High School, attended ISU and King Lawrence Beauty College. She has three grown children.

Matt Brady

Matt is a relative newcomer to Ashton, having lived here for 5 years. He holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from West Georgia College and is employed by Ashton Memorial. He is the Program Manager for Brighter Tomorrow, an independent living program for at risk young adults. Matt and his wife Suzanne have one son. They, as a family, are active in their church and in numerous other community activities.

Brett Pincock

Brett has lived in Ashton 8 years, he owned and operated Fall River Fly and Tackle previous to that he was involved with environmental work and spent several years in the military. Brett is married to Sharane and they have 8 grown children.
He was elected to the council in 2003 for a four year term. He serves on the Public Works, Public Safety, and the Parks and Rec Commissions. His passion is hunting and fishing and enjoying outdoors Idaho.
